POONCH, Sept 26: As part of Sewa Parv, the Municipal Council Poonch today organized two programs - "Ek Ghanta Ek Sath" and "Angikaar" (PMAY-U Shehri Mela). Hon'ble MLA Poonch Haveli, Mr. Ajaz Ahmed Jan, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
In the morning, Municipal Council staff, sanitation workers, and members of civil society carried out a cleanliness drive at the historic Poonch Fort. Later, during the Angikaar event, Hon'ble MLA interacted with PMAY-U beneficiaries, handed over keys to two newly constructed houses, and distributed uniforms to sanitation workers.
On the occasion, Hon'ble MLA appreciated the efforts of the Municipal Council, Safai Karamcharis, and CEO Poonch Mr. Khalil Banday for his outstanding work and commitment in ensuring the success of cleanliness and development initiatives. He also assured full support in strengthening urban development schemes and proper implementation of PMAY-U.
The event was attended by former Presidents and Vice President of the Municipal Council, along with former councillors, whose participation added to the significance of the program. |
