Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 27: Government Polytechnic College today organised a Boot camp under the Start-up India Challenge in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI). The event began with an address by Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal Government Polytechnic Reasi, who motivated the students by sharing inspiring examples of successful start-ups such as Zomato, Paytm, OYO etc and he encouraged students to think creatively and pursue entrepreneurship with confidence. Mr. Sorab Mengi (Assistant Manager), JKEDI and Shri Abilash Kumar Braroo, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Reasi shared insights into the various programs and policies undertaken by JKEDI to strengthen the startup ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir and provided valuable insights and created awareness about Start-up India opportunities. The Bootcamp proved to be an enriching experience, giving young minds a platform to showcase their innovative ideas and understand the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who came forward with innovative start-up ideas. Several innovative ideas were pitched by participants, which were evaluated by a panel of experts for shortlisting to the next round of the Startup Idea Challenge. The ideas presented by Reetika, 5th Semester Computer Engineering student, Abhishek Thakur, 5th Semester Mechanical Engineering student, Mohd. Younis, Computer Engineering student, Arti Sharma, Computer Engineering student, Vikram Singh, Computer Engineering student, Kapil Sharma and Israr Ahmed, Computer Engineering student, were shortlisted by the panel of experts. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Mr Ajay Dogra, Incharge Training and Placement cell of college to the JKEDI for their support in making the program a success.
