Early Times Report DARHAL, Sept 27: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv celebrations, Government Degree College Darhal organized a seminar on "Maintenance of Library". The program aimed to create awareness among students regarding the proper upkeep and effective utilization of library resources. Addressing the gathering, the Principal of the college, Prof. Zameer Ahmed Mirza, highlighted the significance of libraries as the backbone of academic institutions. He urged students to develop strong reading habits and take responsibility in maintaining library discipline. Faculty members also shared valuable insights on cataloguing, preservation of books, and promoting a culture of learning. A large number of students participated in the seminar and pledged to contribute towards the cleanliness, orderliness, and efficient use of the college library. NSS and NCC volunteers also actively engaged in the library maintenance drive. On the occasion, Dr. Ghulam Abass, Dr. Taseem Ahmed, and Dr. Mohd Akhlaq emphasized the importance of utilizing library facilities for academic enrichment. The event was successfully coordinated by faculty members including Dr. Mohd Saleem Wani, Prof. Anzar Ahmed, Dr. Raja Shahid, Dr. Mohd Shakeel Kataria, Dr. Atta Ul Rehman, Dr. Mohd Shakoor, Prof. Beenish Majid, Mr. Altaf Hussain, and Mr. Jameel Ahmed, who also actively participated in the seminar and extended their support to the cause. |
