Two days Udyam Yuva fest held at Government Polytechnic Reasi

REASI, Sept 27: Under Mission Yuva, two days Udyam Yuva Fest 2025 concluded successfully at Government Polytechnic College Reasi. The two-day youth empowerment fest was organised by Department of Skill Development and Employment department under the guidance of Director, Skill Development and Employement, Sh Shahzad Alam (IAS). In the two days fest various competitions i.e Quiz, Speech, painting and Essay writing was organised. The fest aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent, creativity, and innovative ideas. The chief guest for the today programme was Shri Sukhdev Singh Sambyal, ADDC, Reasi along with Er Arun Bangotra, Principal, Govt. Polytechnic Reasi, Mr. Rajesh Bansotra Superintendent ITI Reasi, and Sh Jaffer Azad, District officer, JUDA. The event began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a soulful saraswati vandana by students that set a serene and inspiring tone for the day. Students actively participated in cultural activities, including thought-provoking skits on "Nasha Mukt Bharat" and "Mission Yuva Bharat", spreading strong messages of awareness and responsibility among the youth. While addressing the gathering, Shri Sukhdev Singh Sambyal, ADDC, Reasi delivered an insightful address on Mission YUVA and emphasized on creating a conducive environment where the youth can feel confident to take risks, innovate and build businesses. His speech inspired the participants by offering a comprehensive overview of the project and emphasizing the importance of the culture of entrepreneurship. He appreciated the efforts of the college administration in executing the project and generating widespread entrepreneurial impact. Principal Er. Arun Bangotra in his welcome address shed light on the core concept of Mission Yuva and appreciated the active participation of students in two days fest and motivated them to continue engaging in such constructive activities which nurture confidence, personality development, and a spirit of innovation. On concluding day a felicitation ceremony was held, where certificates were awarded to winners of various competitions and participants of the 10 days Mission Yuva capacity building Hybrid Training Courses. The Udyam Yuva fest witnessed massive participation of 196 students in Quiz, 67 in Painting, 41 in Essay, and 30 in Speech competitions. The competitions reflected the enthusiasm of the youth and their commitment towards learning and self-expression. In Quiz competition, 1st Position was won by Preeti Sharma, 2nd Position by Vikram Singh and 3rd Position by Shuriti Sharma. In Essay Competition 1st Position went to Diksha Devi, 2nd and 3rd Position to Nikhil Kumar and Tanish Bharti. In Speech Competition 1st Position was bagged by Pryansh Manontra, 2nd Position by Pooja Devi and 3rd Position by Satyam Sharma, while in painting Competition 1st Position was bagged by Anil Kumar, 2nd Position was Nazia Akhter and 3rd Position went to Preeti Sharma. The winners and runners were provided certificate and attractive cash prizes of Rs.5000/-, Rs.3000/- and Rs.2000/- respectively. On the occasion students also demonstrated various innovative projects, which were highly appreciated by ADDC Reasi.
