| Mission Director HADP Visits Vegetable Cluster Narkara Budgam | | |  Early Times Report
BUDGAM, Sept 28: The Mission Director, Sandeep Kumar IFS MD Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), today conducted an extensive visit to the vegetable cluster at Narkara, Budgam, to review the progress and impact of interventions being carried out under HADP.
Interacting with the farmers and growers, the MD appreciated their dedication towards vegetable cultivation and highlighted the role of cluster-based farming in transforming the agriculture sector of Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed upon the adoption of scientific practices, use of high-quality seed material, improved irrigation facilities, and modern post-harvest management techniques to enhance productivity and ensure better returns to the farming community.
He assured the farmers of every possible support under HADP and reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening vegetable clusters across the Valley. He said that initiatives under HADP are aimed at providing holistic support to farmers—from production and processing to value addition and market linkages. The visit witnessed an encouraging response from the farming community, who shared their experiences and expressed satisfaction over the support being extended through HADP. Senior officers of the Agriculture Department accompanied the Mission Director during the visit. |
