GDC Bani organises awareness programme on “Nasha Mukt Bharat”

bani, Sept 29: As a sequel to Seva Parv, A lecture and an awareness rally con ducted at GDC Bani by the Department of Physical Education and NSS unit of the college under the overall supervision of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Manohar Lal. He was accompanied by other faculty members of the college.
The event started with recitation of slogans by the students and NSS Volunteers of the college. Dr J SSoodan Physical Director/PTI delivered the welcome address. In his address, he has formally welcomed the worthy Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Manohar Lal and other faculty members.
The Chief guest Dr Manohar Lal, Principal GDC Bani in his address to the participating students advised them to stay away from the drugs. The faculty members Prof. Vishab Thapa and Prof. Akash Zhutsi in their lecture have advised the students to be aware of ill effects of drugs and their negative impact on the overall health and development of the growing youth. Worthy Proncipal mwhile interacting with the students stressed upon the growing instances of deaths due to overconsumption of synthetic drugs by the youth.
The chief guest of the occasion Prof. (Dr.) Manohar Lal in his address praised the students of the college for their contribution to attending this campaign and a lecture and also to provide voluntary contributions for the eradication of this disease from the society as a whole.
He has appreciated the efforts of NSS unit and Department of Physical Education in organising this campaign of such importance. Later, he has offered a pledge against the drug abuse and illicit trafficking to the students of the college in the presence of all the faculty members.
The programme ended with formal with formal vote of thanks by Dr Sunil Kumari, HOD Urdu. Among the faculty members who graced the occasion by their benign presence were Dr Narinder Kumar, Prof. Akash Zhutsi, Dr Firdoos Ahmed, Dr Mohd. Zameer, Dr Mulkh Raj, Prof Mudasi Ahmad, Madam Neena Sondhi, Mr. Rashpal Sharma and Mr. Himanshu Sharma. A total of 40 students have actively participated in this “NASHA MULKT BHARAT CAMPAIGN”. The Entire Programme was conducted by Dr. Nisha Devi, NSS Programme Officer GDC Bani.
