R S pura, Sept 29: In a creative effort to combat the rising menace of Drug Abuse, Drug De-addiction Committee and NSS unit of Government Degree College, R.S. Pura organized a Wall Painting aimed at spreading awareness about the ill effects of drugs. The initiative was part of the college’s ongoing commitment to promoting social responsibility and healthy lifestyles among students and the wider community. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who used their artistic talents to depict powerful messages against drug abuse. The college walls came alive with vibrant colors and thought-provoking visuals, capturing the attention of students, staff, and passersby. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, applauded the initiative, stating, “Art is a powerful medium to express strong messages. Through this competition, our students have taken a stand against a critical issue affecting youth today. We are proud of their efforts and hope these visuals inspire positive change.” The event was organized under the guidance of Convener Drug De-addiction Committee Prof. Neelam Kumar and NSS PO Prof Lukesha Dubgotra with support from faculty members viz. Dr. Akriti Parihar, Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch and Prof Rajinder Singh.
