Jammu, Sept 30: A Mega Health Camp under the Swasth Nari Shashakt Pariwar Abhiyan (SNSPA) was organized at Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Amphalla, Jammu, in collaboration with the State Health Agency, J&K. The camp, held as part of the nationwide campaign from 17th September to 2nd October, aimed at strengthening women’s health and overall family well-being. Over 100 patients benefitted from the initiative, availing free consultations, diagnostic tests, and medicines. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Raksha Sharma, Senior Consultant (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), underlined the importance of women’s health in building strong families and prosperous communities. Dr. Arvind Kholi, Medical Director, reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to affordable healthcare for underprivileged sections, emphasizing the need for preventive and maternal health awareness. Supporting the camp were RMO Dr. Meena, Dr. Isha Salathia, Matron Anita Jamwal, and Dr. Arun (Anaesthetics Department), ensuring smooth delivery of medical services. Arogya Mitras Ashish Sharma and Riya Sharma also assisted beneficiaries in generating free Ayushman Bharat health cards, extending long-term access to government-sponsored healthcare. The event was attended by senior members of the management Committee of SVMM including Sh. Amar Chand Gupta (Sr. Vice President), Sh. B.B. Gupta (General Secretary), Sh. B.S. Jamwal (Secretary),Dr Sachin Gupta Member, along with Dr. Yashpal Karsyal (Asst. Medical Superintendent), and S. Iqbal Deep Singh (Manager), who lauded the efforts of the medical and support staff. Reiterating its motto “Nar Sewa Narayan Sewa”, the hospital pledged to continue organizing such health camps and community programs for the welfare of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
