Inauguration of upgraded Agronomist Vegetable Improvement Scheme Office

Jammu, Sept 30: Jammu, September 30, 2025 – The Upgradation of Agronomist Vegetable Improvement Scheme Office Building under CAPEX (Plan) was inaugurated today by Sh. Arvind Gupta, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Jammu West.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Sh. Anil Gupta, Director Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare, Jammu, along with senior officers and staff of the Agriculture Department.
The upgraded office building is designed to provide a modern working environment with improved infrastructure, better space utilization, and upgraded facilities to support smooth functioning of departmental activities and effective implementation of agricultural schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Arvind Gupta underlined the importance of creating state-of-the-art office spaces, noting that modern infrastructure enhances efficiency, promotes transparency, and provides employees with a more conducive and professional atmosphere to deliver their best.
Sh. Anil Gupta highlighted that the upgraded building, equipped with improved amenities and work-friendly facilities, will not only streamline office operations but also strengthen coordination among staff, ultimately ensuring timely and effective delivery of departmental services.
Sh. Vikas Padha, Agronomist (VIS) Jammu, stated that the upgraded facilities will significantly improve the working environment for staff, encourage better coordination across sections, and provide a professional space where employees can work more productively and efficiently.
He further added that such developments will inspire the workforce and strengthen the department’s capacity to deliver services with greater impact.
The inaugural function was attended by Joint Director (Inputs) Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Deputy Director (Central) Sh. Sanjeev Rai Gupta, Agriculture Chemist Sh. Vinod Kumar Sharma, Agriculture Economist Sh. Tilak Raj Sharma, Plant Protection Officer Sh. Raju Mahajan, DSSO Sh. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Seed Analyst Sh. Gopal Krishan, Deputy Director (Trainings) Smt. Karuna Nidhi, SDAO Marh Mr. Khalid Hassan Tantri, besides other senior officers and staff of the department.
