Bishnah, Sept 30: Government Degree College Bishnah, an esteemed institute under the Department of Higher Education, J&K, released its annual college magazine SAHITYAKI in a grand function held in the college premises on 30th September 2025.The event was graced by Padma Shri Awardee, renowned writer, and educationist Dr. Jitendra Udhampuri, who was the Chief Guest of the programme.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome extended by Dr. Koushal Kiran Thacker, Convenor of the College Magazine Committee, who greeted the Chief Guest, Principal, faculty, and students and highlighted the significance of the occasion.
Dr. Shallu Samyal, Principal of the College, in her address, congratulated the editorial committee, faculty, and students for their dedicated efforts in bringing out SAHITYAKI. She lauded the contribution of students and staff who enriched the magazine with their articles, poems, and write-ups. She further appreciated the magazine committee for compiling the content into a meaningful and creative publication.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Jitendra Udhampuri, while releasing SAHITYAKI, praised the intellectual and creative efforts of the college fraternity. He emphasized the role of college magazines in nurturing the literary and artistic talents of students and in fostering a culture of expression and creativity.
The entire editorial team of SAHITYAKi was applauded by both the Principal and the Chief Guest for their untiring efforts. The event marked a celebration of collective creativity and teamwork by faculty and students alike.
The programme concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks by Dr. Sunil Saliada, member of the Magazine Committee, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, and students for their participation and support in making the event a success.
