Brig Harcharan Singh felicitated by Raksha Mantri during National Conclave

New Delhi, Sept 30: A National Conclave was held at Delhi by Directorate of Ex-Servicemen Welfare on 29 Sep 2025. A number of ESM were felicitated for their contributions to Society. Brig Harcharan Singh (Retired) was felicitated by the Raksha Mantri Sh Rajnath Singh at Delhi.The impressive National Conclave was attended by many dignitaries including Gen Anil Chauhan, CDS and Gen Upendra Dwivedi, COAS.
Brig Harcharan Singh is Dir North Zone of War Wounded Foundation (WWF), a NGO, which looks after welfare of the Disabled Soldiers. He has organized selection of Disabled soldiers from Northern States, who were donated Modified Scooters/Autos/Wheel Chairs. It has enabled Disabled Soldiers to start their own enterprises. Welfare schemes of WWF have been disseminated to Disabled soldiers through liasion with Army, Sainik Welfare Deptt, Govt organizations , individual ESM and through conduct of Rallies/Seminars. WWF aims to provide oppurtunitues to Disabled Soldiers , so as to turn their Disabilites into Abilities ,by providing them resources and the Psychological support.
Through Project NAMAN, Brig Harcharan Singh has connected society with Veer Naris. Under the flagship of a NGO, National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organization, members of Society adopt families of Veer Naris, with an aim to provide psychological support to the family and guide their children. Regular visits are made to the houses of Veer Naris , to know about their problems and provide solutions.
In addition, through NCCHWO , many projects are undertaken for Underprivileged section of the Society.
The major aim is to inculcate Patriotic and Nationalistic values in the youth, through their physical participation in events.
Brig Harcharan Singh thanked Sainik Welfare Deptt ,NGOs, Civil Society and the Indian Army for their support for the Veer Naris/ Soldiers related Projects. He further Said that there is a requirement to ensure participation of the youth in projects related to Indian Value System/ Ethos/Traditions and Patriotism.
The role played by War Wounded Foundation and National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organization has provided a platform to the Citizens, to make a connect with Disabled Soldiers and Veer Naris. Raksha Mantri reiterated that Nation will ever be grateful to sacrifices of the Soldiers, who gave their Today for our Tomorrow. He also appreciated ESM for their contributions towards the Nation building , social values and Ethos.
