Early Times Report Jammu, May 11: J&K Panchyat Parishad (JKPP) President Jugal Kishore Gupta demanded that election for Sarpanches should be done indirectly on the basis of electing Prime Minister, President, Chief Minister and Mayor. He said with this method possibilities of development will be doubled. Referring to memorandum submitted to Rural Development Department Minister Ali Mohmmad Sagar, Gupta expressed hope that charter of demands including empowerment of Panchyat Raj as per Panchyat Raj Act, Transferring all 29 departments according to eleventh schedule, budgetary allocation and release of funds besides creation of Ghram Nayayalas. Nirajan Singh, Parvez Ahmed, Rajesh Bhat, Surjit Rampaul, Jeet Raj, Sankit Mahajan, Deepika, Sonia Dutta, R. K Dubey, P. N Sharma were prominent among those who attended the meeting.
