Jammu, Oct 1: KSPYM, State Level Coordinating Agency (SLCA) for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) organized a one-day Master-Volunteers Training for Volunteers of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan at Kargil, Ladakh in collaboration with NISD, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India, and District Administration Kargil. The training aimed at strengthening the role of volunteers under the NMBA in raising awareness and mobilizing communities against drug abuse. Resource persons from SLCA conducted interactive sessions covering topics- An overview of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Basic knowledge about substance use and its ill effects, Effective communication, and counseling skills for community outreach. Volunteers actively participated in the training, sharing their experiences and perspectives. The program emphasized the importance of community-led initiatives in prevention, early intervention, and creating a drug-free environment in Kargil district. The District Administration Kargil appreciated the initiative and assured continued support for activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
