Bovine smuggling attempt foiled, 20 bovines rescued 10/1/2025 6:14:43 PM early times report Jammu, Oct 1: Police team of PS Rehamble led by its SHO, while performing routine naka checking, received information through reliable sources regarding a tanker (JK03B/8711) loaded with bovine animals in a cruel manner, coming from Jammu side towards Udhampur without any valid permission. Acting on this information, the police intercepted the tanker at Garnai. During checking, 20 bovine animals were found being transported illegally and were rescued safely. The vehicle was seized. The driver of the vehicle fled from the spot taking advantage of heavy traffic on the road.
