| MGNREGA engineers applaud DC Ramban for resolving designation issue | | |

RAMBAN, Oct 1: The AJK MGNREGA Engineers Association Jammu Province today expressed its profound gratitude to the Ramban district administration for formally resolving a decade-long issue regarding the official designation of its members.
The Association specifically commended Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohd Alyas Khan (JKAS), and Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Ramban, Mohammad Ashfaq (JKAS), for their decisive action. This move officially designates engineers serving under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in the district as Technical Assistants (TAs), classifying them as Junior Engineers working in the Rural Development Department.
This crucial resolution brings the district’s practice into alignment with Circular No: 15 RD-NREGA of 2010 Dated 14-12-2010, which was originally issued by the Administrative Department of Rural Development, J&K.
"This is a significant and welcome step that formally recognizes the professional role and technical work performed by our engineers," said Er Mohd Imran Dar, General Secretary of the AJK MGNREGA Engineers Association Jammu Province. "We extend our sincerest thanks to DC Mohd Alyas Khan and ACD Mohammad Ashfaq for their decisive action and commitment to fulfilling this legitimate demand, which has been pending for over a decade. |
