10/1/2025 9:09:33 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 1: The NCC cadets of 8 J&K Girls Bn, PSPS GCW Gandhinagar, Alpha Coy turned over a new leaf by celebrating a week of Swachhotsav: Sewa Parv 2025, under the visionary stewardship of Dr. Geetanjali Andotra, the Principal of the College and Coordination of ANO Lt Suman Bala, spreading the fragrance of cleanliness and service to society. With the theme of "Swachhta" echoing through every corner, the day became a mosaic of creativity, awareness, and action.
The celebrations began with wall paintings, where every brushstroke spoke louder than words, leaving no stone unturned in carrying the message of cleanliness to every passerby. Adding more colour to the canvas of the day, a poster-making competition was held where ideas mingled with hues, and the young cadets painted not just papers but the very purpose of the occasion.
To strengthen minds and spirits, the cadets dived into a Book Review on Mahatma Gandhi's "My Experiments with Truth", drawing inspiration from the Father of the Nation. It was indeed a journey within, rekindling the flame of self-belief reminded participants to walk the talk, reinforcing the inner strength.
The highlight of the week was a spirited rally, where cadets marched from the college premises to Gandhinagar market area with slogans ringing high. Their determined footsteps became wake-up calls for the public, sensitizing one and all about keeping their surroundings spick and span.
The event not only hit the nail on the head in driving home the importance of cleanliness but also proved that the cadets of NCC are indeed torchbearers of change, carrying forward the legacy of service before self.
With such vibrant participation, Swachhotsav: Sewa Parv 2025 proved that where youthful energy, creative expression, and community spirit came together- a cleaner and brighter tomorrow is not far away.
