| Fallian Mandal Incident | | NPP offers parallel inquiry | | JKNPP to hold a parallel inquiry by Retd Judge in Karnalachak episode Early Times Report Jammu May 11 JKNPP has decided to hold parallel enquiry by a retired Judge and not by the state government committee for probing the Karnalachak episode in which sheds of nomadic community were allegedly burnt, this was informed by the senior leaders in a press conference here today. During a press conference here today Ghulam Ali Engineer youth Chief JKNPP said, “I alongwith S. Paramjeet Singh Marshall, Provincial Vice-President, Shakti Gupta, Jammu City President, Shanker Singh Chib, Rural District President Jammu, Bashmir Ahmed, District General Secretary Rural, Raghubir Singh, District General secretary visited the site at Karnalachak, where the aggrieved nomad apprised them how there houses and properties worth crores of rupees have been burnt into ashes by the state administration with the help of local miscreants infront of them. He said, “the party has decided to hold parallel enquiry by a retired Judge and not by the state government committee for this purpose.’ Giving details of the episode, he said about 31 Houses including jewellary and household items, hay stock worth lakhs; two motorbikes one TVs Victor, a Passion motorcycle, Tractors trolley and bicycles also were burnt in this fire. JKNPP Leader also mentioned that at least 15 children fled from their houses after been harassed by the police. The JKNPP leaders said party will peruse this issue vigorously with the state government and also seek due patronage from the High Court. They also said that they will also sit on hunger strike till the nomads get their due share and action is being against involved official/government machinery in the incident. Mohd. Shafi, Rashid Mohd. Jamal Din, Abdul Hamid and Faid Ahmed the aggrieved nomads whose houses were razed also were present in this media conference.
