| Army schools exchange students | | | Early Times Report Udhampur May 11 First ever six day long Student Exchange Programme organised by Army Public School (APS) Udhampur in which 50 students from AS Akhnoor, AS Nagrota and AS Rakhmuthi participated. The aim of the programme was to instill the variety of academic, cultural and sports activities among the students. Official spokesperson said that the participants learnt a great deal through participation in quiz, career counseling session, yoga and meditation, environmental day celebration, cultural evenings and various sports activities. Apart from this they visited various places of historical, religious and cultural importance and thoroughly enjoyed their visits to Air force station, HRDC, ISKCON temple etc. Participants presented high quality of cultural performances during the social evenings and the camp fires during the camp. On the valedictory day Maj Gen NS Vidyarthi, Chairman APS Udhampur interacted with the students participated in Exchange Programme and also distributed prizes to winners of various competitions. In her address Dr Kiran Singh, Principal APS Udhampur said such programme should be made an integral part of regular academic activities and praised Sanjeev Kumar, Co-ordinator APS Udhampur, Rajesh Jaswal and all other teachers for organising activities smoothly and in well planned manner.
