JAMMU, Oct 2: Apni Party today paid rich tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and Former Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shashtri on the eve of their birth anniversary.
Remembering the towering personalities, and strong pillars of Democratic India, the Former Minister, and Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh along with other leaders paid floral tributes to both the leaders of the nation, who devoted their lives for strengthening democratic values.
“Mahatama Gandhi Ji, who led the freedom struggle of India cannot be compared with anyone. He gave his everything to fight the imperial powers of British Might with no weapons, but with democratic values,” said S. Manjit Singh, who pitched for strengthening of such values that guarantee equal treatment to all the citizens in the country.
While criticising fringe elements for creating a wedge among the community to gain politically, he said that India got independent under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, who left luxury life. |
