Alexandra Memorial School celebrated the ‘Mothers' Day in a unique manner by giving "Certificates of Appreciation" to all the parents of the school students. A large gathering of faculty, students and their parenst was present on t6his occasion.
Haji Syed Nargis Sitara Bukhari a great poetess and social' activist who was the chief guest gave away these certificates to the parents. She also spoke on about the tender relation of mother and child.
In her address Razia Sheikh, an officer of the J&K Women Development Corporation who was special invitee on this occasion highlighted the Govt. Schemes available for the women.
Earlier the programme started with a word of prayer by Rev. Sohan Lal which was followed by the cultural programme presented by the students of the school.
Earlier Principal, Mrs.Esther William welcomed the guest and highlighted the academic achievements of the school while Mrs. Sunita Verma, Senior Teacher of the school presented the vote of thanks in the end.
