| SMVDU organises Blood Donation Camp | | |

Jammu, Oct 2: The NCC and NSS units of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, in collaboration with the J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society, successfully organized a blood donation camp at the SMVDU campus.
The initiative brought together students, staff, and community members in support of a life-saving cause.
The camp was coordinated by Dr. Varun Dutta, NCC Coordinator, SMVDU, and Dr. Rajiv Kumar, NSS Coordinator, SMVDU, with support from Dr. Pallav Sharma, Medical Aid Centre, SMVDU. The drive witnessed an impressive turnout and enthusiastic participation. Dr. Neeti from GMC, Jammu, supervised the camp and provided essential medical support. Students and staff members of SMVDU generously donated blood, demonstrating compassion, solidarity, and a commitment to social responsibility. Notably, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers played a pivotal role in the success of the camp.
They actively assisted in mobilizing donors, managing the registration process, and extending logistical support throughout the event.
This altruistic gesture will significantly benefit individuals battling Thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder that often requires frequent transfusions. Er.
