Dharmarth Trust organizes grand Shobha Yatra on Vijay Dashmi

JAMMU, Oct 2: To mark the auspicious occasion of Vijay Dashmi, a grandiose Shobha Yatra was taken out from the historical Shri Raghunathji Temple here.
On the occasion, Martand Singh, Trustee of J&K Dharmarth Trust and MLA Yudhvir Sethi presided over the Murti Poojan at Shri Raghunath Ji Temple. Thereafter, Rath Poojan and Dhwajarohan ceremonies were performed. Dr. P.S. Pathania, President of the Trust, Ashok Kumar Sharma (IPS Retd.), Secretary and Anil Masoom, ex Corporator were also present.
This Shobha Yatra was organised by Sanatan Dharam Sabha in collaboration with J&K Dharmarth Trust.
The Yatra commenced from Shri Raghunathji Temple and passed through Hari Market, Raghunath Bazaar, City Chowk, Shalamar, Ranbireshwar Temple and finally culminated at Parade Ground, Jammu.
Martand Singh, in his message, felicitated people on the auspicious occasion of Vijay Dashmi and prayed that this sacred festival may bring peace, prosperity and happiness in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the celebration of festivals, which form an integral part of our glorious heritage, strengthens communal harmony and brotherhood while reinvigorating the secular ethos of the region. He prayed for peace and the well-being of the people of the Union Territory.
The Trustee reiterated the commitment of Dharmarth Trust towards preserving and promoting the age-old traditions, cultural values, and rich religious heritage of Jammu and Kashmir. He assured that the Trust will continue to serve devotees with devotion and dedication while organizing such grand religious events with greater zeal in future.
Tight security arrangements were ensured by the UT administration across the city for the smooth conduct of Dussehra celebrations. During the Shobha Yatra, various senior police officers were present to oversee the arrangements and ensure incident-free celebrations.
A heavy rush of devotees was witnessed at the historical Raghunath Ji Temple, where people stood in long queues to participate in the Pooja and other holy rituals, making the atmosphere festive and spiritually vibrant.
