Indian Army organises blood donation camp | | | early times report
Rajouri, Oct 3: In line with the Indian Army’s core objective of fostering cordial relations with the local populace under the Jawan–Awam Connect, a Blood Donation Camp was organized on the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day at the Youth Employment and Guidance Node (YEGN), Thanamandi. The initiative aimed to bolster the nation’s blood reserves and promote the spirit of humanitarian service. Indian Army personnel, along with civilians from Thanamandi and adjoining areas, voluntarily donated blood to save precious lives. The camp was conducted in coordination with prominent civil hospitals and social organizations under the theme, “Donate Blood – Save Lives”, and formed part of the Indian Army’s broader commitment to nation-building and welfare activities in the region. A total of 23 donors (including 22 Indian Army personnel and 1 civilian volunteer) came forward for this noble cause. Prominent civil authorities, including medical officers, were also present during the drive. The gesture was highly appreciated by the local populace. This initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment to reaching out to populations in remote areas with limited civil administration accessibility. Such humanitarian efforts strengthen mutual trust between the Jawan and Awam, while reaffirming the Indian Army’s dedication to the service of the nation.
