| BJP campaigns for LUTF in Leh | | | Early Times Report Jammu may 11 BJP State Treasurer Sat Sharma (CA), accompanied by LUTF President Tsering Anchug and LAHDC Chairman Tsering Doorjey, conducted a 3-day long extensive campaigning in Leh Town and its adjoining areas. During the electioneering for the last phase of parliamentary polls which are scheduled on May 13 for Leh Parliamentary seat, the BJP leaders and contesting parliamentary candidate of LUTF addressed series of rallies in Basgo, Nimmo, Likir, Chuglamsar, Skalzangling and Seh areas of the Leh District falling under Ladakh Parliamentary constituency to campaign in favour of the LUTF candidate Thinless Angmo.
Pertinent to mention here that The LUTF had been associated with the UPA in the past and it recently parted its way to support NDA at the centre, as, according to its leaders, the Congress at the centre and in the state has ditched them and did not fulfil any of its promises made with them. Sat Sharma also addressed a well attended workers rally at Chuglamsar and asked them to reach the masses and brief them about the people-centric policies of the BJP-led NDA during its tenure at the centre and also make the masses aware of the discriminatory policies adopted by the Congress towards Jammu and ladakh. These activists pledged to work for success of Thinless Angmo and ensure her victory in the parliamentary election to be held on May 13. A number of prominent BJP leaders from Leh including Tashi, Thinley, Wangil, Dorjey Namgil also accompanied the BJP and LUTF leaders while campaigning in favour of Thinless Angmo.
