Jindrah, Oct 3: In line with Government Order No. 1064-JK(GAD) of 2025 dated August 11, 2025, PM Shri Government Girls Middle School Jindrah celebrated Seva Parav from September 17 to October 2, 2025, with immense enthusiasm and dedication. The observance aimed to nurture the spirit of Seva, Swachhata, and Samarpan among students, teachers, and the local community through a wide range of activities covering cleanliness, education, social welfare, health, awareness, and cultural expression. The programme was supervised by Shamash Din I/C Headmaster and Was coordinated by Sadaket Ali Teacher. The fortnight began with a special assembly where the Headmaster inaugurated the campaign and administered the Swachhata Pledge to all staff and students. The initial days were devoted to cleanliness drives and environmental action. Students cleaned classrooms, corridors, nearby roads, and public areas around Jindrah. A tree plantation drive was also organized to promote greenery and ecological awareness. The school conducted sessions on proper waste segregation and discouraged the use of single-use plastic, teaching students to adopt environmentally sustainable habits. To extend the spirit of learning and sharing, the school carried out education-focused initiatives such as donation drives for books, stationery, and clothes for underprivileged children. Students participated in school beautification activities, painting walls with inspiring messages and setting up reading corners in classrooms. Senior students volunteered to help younger ones with reading and learning tasks, creating an atmosphere of teamwork and mentorship within the school. The observance also included engagement with elderly and vulnerable sections of society. Students and staff reached out to elderly people in nearby localities, expressing their respect and offering small gestures of care. The interaction helped inculcate empathy and social awareness among the students, reminding them of the importance of kindness and community connection. Health and hygiene remained a central focus throughout the campaign. The school, in collaboration with the Health Department, organized a health check-up camp where more than 50 students underwent basic health examinations. Health Worker Anuradha and her team conducted interactive sessions on personal hygiene, nutrition, and menstrual health under the Poshan Abhiyaan. Students learned about maintaining cleanliness and healthy habits both at school and home. As part of awareness and capacity building, teachers held workshops and discussions on important government schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana, and PM Kisan. Students were encouraged to share this knowledge with their families. Demonstrations were also given on topics like organic farming, water conservation, and digital literacy. Students learned about online platforms for applying to various welfare schemes, thus gaining early exposure to the concept of digital empowerment and responsible citizenship. Adding a creative touch, the school organized cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the “Spirit of Seva.” Students participated enthusiastically in essay writing, slogan writing, and wall painting competitions based on civic and social themes such as cleanliness, environment, and education. A colorful nukkad natak (street play) was staged by students to spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness, respect for sanitation workers, and environmental care. The performances not only showcased their talent but also conveyed strong messages of community responsibility. In order to extend the campaign’s reach, the school documented its daily activities through photographs and short write-ups shared on official social media handles, following the guidelines of the Information Department. The Seva Parav concluded with a valedictory function held in the school premises.
