Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 3: BJP Spokesperson for J&K UT, Gaurav Gupta, said that the global recognition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership by ASML, the world's leading Dutch semiconductor giant, has once again reaffirmed India's rise as a global technology powerhouse. Speaking at the Politico Competitive Europe Summit in Brussels, Frank Heemskerk, Executive Vice President of Global Public Affairs at ASML, openly criticized European Union leaders for being inaccessible to businesses and contrasted this with PM Modi's business-friendly and responsive approach. He revealed that ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet recently had a two-hour meeting with Prime Minister Modi, during which the PM not only listened carefully but also encouraged honest feedback, saying: "You're too friendly, tell me what we can do better." "This rare openness and accessibility of PM Modi is what makes India the most trusted global destination for investors and innovators," Gaurav Gupta said. He added that while European leaders remain distant and disengaged, India's Prime Minister has shown how proactive leadership drives confidence among world-class companies. Gupta highlighted that under PM Modi's dynamic leadership, India's semiconductor journey has achieved historic milestones. The Rs 76,000 crore India Semiconductor Mission, launched in 2021, is already delivering results with the first set of Made-in-India chips being presented to PM Modi last month. "This is a giant leap in our integration with the global electronics supply chain and a testimony that India is on its way to becoming a global semiconductor hub," he stated. Heemskerk also noted ASML's €1.3 billion collaboration with French AI firm Mistral, underlining the importance of political leaders directly engaging with companies that are investing money. According to Gupta, this observation further validates PM Modi's governance style, which places industry engagement and global cooperation at its core. "ASML's praise for PM Modi is not just about one meeting-it is about the world acknowledging India's transformation under Modi Ji's leadership. Bharat is now driving the global semiconductor revolution and marching firmly towards becoming a Viksit Bharat," Gupta concluded. |
