10/3/2025 9:56:29 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 3: Additional General Secretary and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra and Provincial President Jammu, JKNC Rattan Lal Gupta addressed District officer bearers, Block committees and Prominent workers of Nagrota Assembly Constituency at Sher-e- Kashmir Bhavan, Jammu today.
The meeting was convened to discuss party preparedness for the Bi-election of Nagrota Constituency.
While addressing the meeting Ajay Kumar Sadhotra former minister and Additional General Secretary highlighted the achievements of the Omar led Government during the past 11 months. He called upon the workers to prepare themselves for the forthcoming challenges in Nagrota Constituency. He said it is an open secret that the present Government is facing challenges due to UT status in J&K where a dual power system is going on. But the National Conference is committed to address the basic day today issues of the people of J&K for which mandate has been given to the National Conference party.
Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President Jammu while addressing the meeting said that Nagrota Constituency is a very important constituency in Jammu Province as it was one in 1996 election and during the BJP wave in 2014. National Conference workers in this constituency are committed to work for the party as they are convinced that National Conference is the only political party which can fight the BJP's agenda of communal divide in J&K. National Conference workers believe that secularism, socialism are the bases of the party in J&K. Sher-e- Kashmir Late Sheikh Mohd Abdullah's slogan "Sher-e- Kashmir Ka kya Irshaad- Hindu, Muslim, Sikh Ittihaad."is very much relevant in present situation.
Further highlighting the party's ground-level involvement; Gupta praised the NC's Provincial unit for acting as a vital bridge between the people and the administration. He noted how party functionaries were on the frontlines during the floods, working diligently on relief operations and assisting the administration. "Now, we must prepare for battle. Our workers should reach every door, showcase our good work, and remind the people that they have seen through the BJP's hollow promises. There is a growing sense of hope in Omar Abdullah's leadership, and the people will stand behind him in these elections," Gupta concluded with conviction.
He called upon the workers to ensure every possible help to the needy people in their respective areas who have suffered losses due to cloudburst/ landslides.
