Jammu, Oct 3: In an effort to strengthen police public relations, Police Station Domana observed “Thana Diwas” at its premises. Around 40–50 prominent citizens, including ex-sarpanches, panches, corporators, and other respected members of society, participated in the programme.
During the interaction, participants raised various issues of public importance.Police authorities assured that genuine grievances related to policing would be addressed on priority. Emphasis was also laid on community cooperation in maintaining law and order, curbing drug abuse, preventing illegal mining, and tackling other social crimes.
The meeting was presided over by SP Rural Shri Brijesh Sharma, JKPS accompanied by SHO Domana Insp. Varneshwar Singh, IC PP Chinore and Pouni Chak. |
