Jammu, Oct 3: The ongoing Inter-Collegiate Cricket (Men) Tournament 2025–26 is being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, at the University Cricket Ground. This prestigious annual event seeks to foster sportsmanship, promote competitive cricket at the collegiate level, and provide a platform for young cricketers to showcase their talent, dedication, and passion for the game.
Results of the Matches:
Match 1: PG (Arts), University of Jammu vs PHL College
PG (Arts), JU registered a comprehensive 157-run victory over PHL College. Batting first, PG (Arts) JU posted 237 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs, with fine knocks from Pankaj (78), Govind (68), and Nikhil (54), for PHL College, Ratib and Sahil Khan claimed 3 wickets each. In reply, PHL College were bundled out for 80 runs in 13 overs, with Dar Majid (25) and Ratib (18) being the main contributors. For PG (Arts) JU, Vikshay took 4 wickets, Princei 3 wickets, and Govind 2 wickets, sealing an emphatic win.
Match 2: MIET vs GDC Ramgarh
MIET outclassed GDC Ramgarh with a dominating 10-wicket win. Batting first, GDC Ramgarh were bowled out for 39 runs in 12 overs, with Ujwala top-scoring with 14 runs. For MIET, Utkarsh took 4 wickets, while Nishant Singh and Mood Amir bagged 2 wickets each. In reply, MIET chased down the target in just 1.5 overs, scoring 40 runs without loss, powered by Charukash (22) and Aditya (12).
The tournament is being conducted under the overall supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
The technical panel for officiating the matches comprised Ashok Singh, Vijay Raina, Danish Singh, Manu, Raj Kumar Bakshi and Anirudh Singh, whose professional expertise ensured that all matches were conducted fairly and in strict adherence to the rules of the game.
