10/5/2025 6:15:42 PM

early times report

Jammu, Oct 5: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rohiin Chandan has wholeheartedly commended the exemplary efforts of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, for organizing a weekly mega public outreach and grievance redressal camp in Banihal. This initiative, aimed at addressing the concerns of the local populace, reflects a proactive approach to governance and public welfare, setting a remarkable precedent for administrative engagement in the Union Territory of J&K.
During the camp, DC Mohammad Alyas Khan personally interacted with diverse segments of society, including residents from various panchayats and the municipal area of Banihal. Public delegations and individual applicants raised a broad spectrum of demands, ranging from the augmentation of public infrastructure to the creation of employment opportunities for local youth in national projects. The grievances redressal camp provided a platform for the people to voice their concerns directly to the administration, fostering transparency and trust in governance.
Rohiin Chandan, in his statement, praised DC Ramban for his unwavering commitment to serving the common masses. “Such courageous and people-centric initiatives are a shining example of how administrative leadership can bridge the gap between the government and the citizens. The efforts of Mohammad Alyas Khan are not only commendable but also instrumental in addressing the grassroots issues faced by the people of Banihal,” said Chandan. He emphasized that these camps are a vital step toward ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
He further highlighted the significance of such outreach programs in strengthening the bond between the administration and the public. By listening to the demands for improved infrastructure, better civic amenities, and job opportunities, DC Ramban has demonstrated a model of governance that prioritizes the welfare of the people. Chandan urged other deputy commissioners across the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir to emulate the footsteps of Mohammad Alyas Khan and adopt similar initiatives to address the needs of the marginalized and needy.
The grievance redressal camp in Banihal has set a benchmark for responsive and inclusive governance. It underscores the importance of direct dialogue in resolving issues related to public infrastructure, healthcare, education, and employment. The active participation of local communities in these camps reflects their trust in the administration’s commitment to their welfare.
Rohiin Chandan reiterated the BJP’s unwavering support for such initiatives, which align with the party’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas aur Sabka Prayas’ (Together with All, Development for All), and added that the BJP always supports the efficient officials. He called upon all stakeholders to work collaboratively to ensure that the aspirations of the people of J&K are met through sustained efforts and innovative governance models.
