Udhampur, Oct 5: Continuing its drive against the drug menace, Police party of PP Tikri during routine naka checking at Tikri apprehended one person who was moving on foot from Manthal side towards Udhampur. On seeing the naka party, the said person tried to turn back but was swiftly intercepted by the police party.
The accused was identified as Waseem Akram S/o Mohd. Saleem R/o Rahi Mohalla, Kawa, Tehsil & District Udhampur. During his personal search, 5.17 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 157/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Rehambal and the investigation has been taken up. |
