Ravinder Sharma launches signature campaign against vote chori, restoration of statehood | | | Early Times Report
Sunderbani, Oct 5: JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Mr Ravinder Sharma today launched the signature campaign against vote chori, as part of nationwide campaign of Congress party for free fair, & transparent elections system, at Sunderbani today besides seeking restoration of full statehood to J&K without further delay. Addressing a workers meeeting at Sunderbani town today, Mr Sharma said that free, fair & transparent elections process right from voter list till results is basic right and backbone of the democracy.. The recent disclosures by Congress Leader & LOP Rahul Gandhi after indepth investigations has revealed large scale irregularities and illegalities right from voter list to manipulations im the elections system due to connivance of ECI and ruling BJP. It has shaken the trust and credibility of the elections in the country and weakens the roots of democracy for which Congress party has taken pledge to fight for a clean ,free,fair transparent transparent electoral system. Accusing BJP of betrayal of the people of J&K by not restoring the statehood even after six years and also one year after Assembly elections ,Senior Congress leader said that Congress party shall intensify struggle for getting back our status and rights of full statehood. He said BJP is in the habit of making false & fake promises and crushing the genuine aspirations of people to centralise and controlling the entire system. He referred to the case of Ladakh, forcing peace loving& patriotic Ladakhis to come on roads.He warned against testing the patience of the people & urged the centre government to restore statehood without delay. The full brigade of BJP from MPs to 28 MLAs have failed to represent the genuine aspirations of the people of J&K regarding restoration of statehood, making the them to suffer in every spheres under the dual control system in J&K. He also questioned the delay in the relief, rehabilitation and restoration measures,even after nearly two months of devastationd due to rain& floods. The large population in several areas is shelterless to house collapse, sinking of lands and landslides, most maun roads and internal connectivity roads are damaged and water supplies defunct but the relief, rehabilitation and restoration measures are missing on ground. |
