Jammu, May 11: To put the Fallian-Mandal eviction controversy to rest, the government has ordered attachment of a senior officer of the Social Forestry department.
Sources said that in view of heightened criticism of the government on handling of the issues, where clash erupted between Gujjars and police while clearing illegal encroachment from the forest land, the government has ordered attachment of the officer and ordered inquiry to alleged police atrocities.
