| Drug peddler absconding for 5 years arrested by Udhampur Police | | |

Udhampur, Oct 5: olice team from Police Station Chenani led by its SHO successfully apprehended a narcotics absconder who had been evading arrest since 2020.
The arrested absconder namely Rajinder Kumar @ Nittu S/o Bansi Lal R/O Sewna, Tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur, had been absconding in connection with case FIR No. 58/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act registered at PS Chenani.
An arrest warrant under Section 299 CrPC was issued by the Hon'ble Additional Sessions Court Udhampur in order to bring the absconder to justice.
Acting on the warrant, the police team of PS Chenani arrested the said absconder and produced him before the Hon'ble Court after which the accused was lodged in District Jail Udhampur by the order of the Hon'ble Court.
