| Lecture on cyber crime organized at GDC Samba | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Oct 8: Dept of Education and dept of English,SPPND Government Degree College Samba organized a special lecture on Cyber Crime Awareness in collaboration with District Police Samba on 8th October 2025. The resource persons for the session were Sub Inspector Pallvi Rajput (I/C PP SIDCO) and Sub Inspector Samridhi Sharma (PS Samba). They sensitized the students about different forms of cybercrime such as phishing, online frauds, identity theft, cyber stalking, and misuse of social media.
The officers emphasized the importance of safe and responsible online behavior, explaining the legal provisions under the Information Technology Act.
The lecture was highly interactive, with students actively participating in the Q&A session.
Prof. (Dr )Meeru Abrol, Principal of GDC Samba, extended gratitude to District Police Samba for their initiative and encouraged students to remain vigilant in the digital world.
The event was coordinated by Prof Seema Sharma and Prof Samriti Manchanda. Dr Asha Singh compered the proceedings of the programme. |
