Early Times Report REASI, Oct 8: Continuing its sustained efforts to curb anti-social activities and maintain peace and public order in the district, Reasi Police has booked eight habitual offenders under various preventive sections of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Formal complaints against all accused have been produced before the Executive Magistrate Ist Class (EMIC), Reasi for necessary legal action. The accused have been identified as: Pankaj Khajuria, S/O Dev Raj Khajuria, R/O Talwara, Tehsil & District Reasi. Balbir Singh, S/O Sansar Singh, R/O Talwara, Tehsil & District Reasi. Gagandeep Singh, S/O Inder Singh, R/O Gota, Chassana, District Reasi. Sunil Singh, S/O Baldev Singh, R/O Geeta Nagar, Reasi. Mohd. Jameel, S/O Abdul Majid Gujjar, R/O Geeta Nagar, Reasi. Om Singh, S/O Karair Singh, R/O Geeta Nagar, Reasi. Naresh Singh, S/O Inder Singh, R/O Mari, Reasi. Balbir Kumar, S/O Chain Lal, R/O Mari, Reasi. All the above individuals are habitual lawbreakers found involved in repeated incidents of breach of peace, public nuisance, and other anti-social activities. Their behavior posed a persistent threat to the tranquility and security of the local population. Acting swiftly, teams of District Police Reasi compiled detailed dossiers and initiated preventive action under relevant sections of BNSS to restrain their unlawful conduct. The proceedings were completed in accordance with due legal process, and complaints have been submitted before the Court of EMIC Reasi for further judicial determination. The whole operation was conducted by the team of Police Station Reasi, led by SHO Police Station Reasi, Insp. Ranjeet Singh Rao, under the overall supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi Vishal Singh Jamwal and Addl. SP Reasi Iftkhar Ahmed - JKPS. Speaking on the action, SSP Reasi Sh. Paramvir Singh, JKPS, reaffirmed that District Police Reasi is fully committed to maintaining law and order and will continue to take stern preventive measures against elements attempting to disturb public peace. He further appealed to citizens to support police efforts by sharing information about anti-social or suspicious activities in their areas.
