UDHAMPUR, Oct 8: DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Ms. Sarah Rizvi, IPS conducted a comprehensive Crime Review Meeting at District Police Lines (DPL) Udhampur to assess the overall crime scenario and functioning of police units across the district.
The meeting focused on the following key areas:
Disposal of Cases:
A detailed review was held regarding investigation and disposal of pending cases. Officers were directed to ensure timely completion of investigations and expeditious disposal of under-investigation cases, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and transparency.
Complaints:
The status of complaints received at various police stations and offices was reviewed. Emphasis was laid on prompt and impartial redressal of public grievances to further strengthen public trust and confidence in the police.
Departmental Enquiries (DEs):-
Progress and disposal of ongoing Departmental Enquiries were examined. DIG instructed concerned officers to complete enquiries within the stipulated time frame and ensure accountability and discipline at all levels.
Other Allied Matters:-
The meeting also covered discussions on law and order management, crimes against women, NDPS-related cases, preventive policing measures, and community engagement initiatives aimed at fostering closer police-public relations.
The meeting was attended by SSP Udhampur Amod Ashok Nagpure, IPS, Addl. SP Udhampur, Sr. PO DPO, DySP Hqrs., SDPOs, PO DPO, SHOs, and other supervisory officers of the district.
DIG stressed upon maintaining a proactive and professional approach towards investigation, effective public service delivery, and adopting people-friendly policing measures to ensure peace, security, and public safety in the region. |
