| Div Com reviews implementation of Traffic management system | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 8: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today discussed and reviewed the actionable points to be implemented by the Traffic department, Jammu Municipal Corporation, District Administration and other authorities for improvement of Traffic management in Jammu City.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner JMC, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Transport Commissioner, SSP Traffic, Chief Engineer PWD(R&B) Jammu and Superintendent Engineer Jammu Development Authority.
The meeting discussed various actionable points for comprehensive improvement of the traffic management system in the city. JMC was directed to demarcate dedicated parking zones with the yellow line and tender their operations with the condition that fixed rates are prominently displayed.
Traffic department was directed to put in extra efforts for enforcement of traffic rules and regulations, particularly restricting unauthorized road side parking, parking outside Banquet Halls and along one way roads.
The Chief Engineer PWD was asked for speedy repair and reconstruction of damaged approach road leading to the fourth Tawi Bridge at Bhagwati Nagar to make both of its tubes functional at the earliest.
