| KV education trust select 22 college teachers | | | Early Times report JAMMU, MAY 12: This year 24 College teachers have been nominated for Master Karam Chand best teacher award for the year 2009. According to a press release of the Krama Vidya Education Trust which confers J&K state college teacher’s award, the select committee made final selection of these teachers out of forty plus nominations received from various colleges from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The awards are being presented of the last four years consecutively and are instituted in the memory of Master Karam Chand Ji, the first President Awarded teacher of the state of Jammu and Kashmir and also the first person in the state to have been awarded the life time achievement award for contribution in the field of education by the J&K Govt. The then education minister Harsh Dev Singh had presented theses awards for the first time in 12005 while last year the awards were conferred upon by Dr. Farooq Abudllah, Former Chief Minister. The various teacher’s whose names have been cleared by the select committee for this year’s award (in alphabetical order) are: Prof. A R Qadri, Prof. Ali Mohd. Wani, Prof. Anupanama, Prof. Dallbir Singh, Prof. Gauri Shankar Dassi, Prof Jagdish Lal Bhagat, , Prof. Munnawar Sayeed, Prof M A Lone, Prof. Naresh K Gupta, P P Singh, Prof. Tajinder Singh, S P Saraswati etc
