| Pathania alleges misgoverance, maladministration | | |

JAMMU, MAY 12: R.S Pathania, Advocate, independent contestant from Ramnagar assembly segment while addressing his supporters at Dehma, Ramnagar and Gandh Top has criticized the local administration for unleashing worst misgoverance and maladministration in the area. He lamented that people are suffering badly on account of drinking water scarcity and bleak/erratic power supply. In most of the villages of Ramnagar and Majalta tehsils, drinking water supply has been impaired since the last many weeks but the snail-like moving administration is yet to come out of cocoon. He threatened a stir in case remedial measures are not taken at the earliest.
He also demanded sanctioning of a Degree college and I.T.I College at Majalta. Pathania said a proposed Degree College at Majalta shall feed pass outs of as many as ten Higher Secondary Schools and five Tehisls, Majalta and bordering areas of Jammu, Samba, Billawar and Ramnagar. He also demanded a special package for Majalta Tehsil so as to operationalise newly-upgraded Majalta full-fledged Tehsil has come up at Majalta an year back but same is in doldrums due to lack of requisite infrastructure. He also demanded that all the allied offices be immediately ordered to be opened up at the earliest.
While addressing at Dudu-Basantgarh block at Gandh Top he demanded special recruitment drive for the unemployed youth of the area. He said that the people of the are possess small land-holdings and recruitment driver there shall be of yeoman’s service to the unemployed youth of the area. He also demanded upgradation of Basantgarh Niabat and sanctioning of a fresh Niabat at Dudu. He said that in view of the vast area, poor economic conditions, lesser development graph, disturbed conditions, difficult terrain, rugged topography and prevailing over there, Basantgarh fully qualified for a full-fledged Tehsil whereas the case of a Niabat at Dudu had been recommended by the Wazir Commission two decades back.
