Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 10: In an initiative designed to bridge academic learning with professional advancement, the Jambu Lochan Boys' Hostel (JLBH), University of Jammu hosted a comprehensive career development session for its newly admitted students. Guided by Prof. Satinder Kumar, Provost Boys Hostels, and Dr. Satya Priya Arya, Warden JLBH, the event featured eminent educationist Preeti Sharma, who provided strategic orientation one competitive exam pathways such as UPSC, SSC & JKAS, effective utilization of digital learning resources, and essential techniques for time management and goal-setting. Further enhancing the hostel's academic infrastructure, Sharma donated a curated collection of competitive exam preparation books to establish a resource library for residents. She also commended the hostel authorities for their provision of a multi-lingual information ecosystem, including national and regional newspapers, magazines, and journals, and internet facilities to all boarders. Moderated by Dr. Nitan Sharma, Resident Warden, this session served as a foundational component of the hostel's induction programme, successfully equipping new boarders with the tools and knowledge to navigate their future academic and career ambitions from the outset of their university journey. |
