| Farooq says PDP an extended arm of BJP | | |

Observing that the dubious policy of PDP is aimed at sabotaging National Conference’s efforts for amicable resolution of all issues pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir and bringing about peace and stability in the state, the President J&K National Conference and former Chief Minister, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that PDP’s game plan is to sabotage peace and development plan and create confusion on important issues under the instructions of its BJP masters.
Addressing public meetings at Uri on Monday former chief minister and NC president Dr Farooq said, “PDP leadership wants to keep the atmosphere volatile and fish in troubled waters by creating confusion on important issues of larger interests of the state.
Further he said that for the lust of power PDP leadership can cross all limits and stoop to any lower level. “They are stooges of BJP and act under directions of Mr. Advani who masterminded this party to scuttle National Conference’s programmes betterment and political stability of the state.
Taking pity on PDP’s propaganda campaign against National Conference, Dr. Abdullah said that this party tried its best to seek condone from Congress for the treacherous bevahiour meted out by PDP to its then coalition partner Congress for political mileage and vote bank politics.
“Congress leadership at New Delhi rejecting their plea send them back with empty hands and paid no heed to their begging”, he said and added that being rejected by Congress, PDP has started finding faults in NC-Congress coalition which is based on principles and mutual trust and respect for each other.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah questioned the locus-standi of PDP for talking about the National Conference-Congress coalition’s Common Minimum Programme, asking its leadership what they did with their coalition partners and the Common Minimum Programme when they were in government with them. “The three years of their coalition were absolutely full of malpractices, political high handedness and money minting to such an extent that Jammu and Kashmir became the number one corrupt state in the country, he said adding that this is PDP’s real face.
Without naming any particular individual, Dr. Abdullah targeted Ansari saying that that this so called leader of PDP who is raising fingers against National Conference-Congress coalition once in presence of thousands of people at Sher-i-Kashmir Park said that he was the peon of Rajiv Gandhi. He said that public memory may be short but not so short that they will not remember this so-called Molvi so stooping low to degrade himself to the level of personal servant of Rajiv Gandhi for the sake of power.
Dr. Abdullah said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are wiser enough to distinguish between the PDP’s trait of hypocrisy and the plain speaking and truthful policy of National Conference.
