Security forces in a joint operation have arrested a terrorist of Hizbul Hujahideen (HM) outfit and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from his possession, police said. Police said that Pattan Police and 29 RR following a specific information about the presence of the terrorist launched a search operation in Dawlatpora in Baramulla and arrested one cadre of HM outfit.
The arrested terrorist has been identified as namely Aijaz Ahmad Mir @ Junaid son of Mohammad Ahsan resident of Dawlatpora at village Dawlatpora in Baramulla district and handed over to Police Station Kreeri. Police further said that arrested terrorist was wanted in FIR No. 09/08 under section 121 RPC, 2/3 IMCO , 19 Unlawful Act of Police Station Kreeri.
‘One AK 47 rifle, two AK magazines, 50 AK rounds, one 7062 mm Chinese Pistol, two Pistol magazines, 16 Pistol rounds, four Chinese grenades and Rs. 14000/- Indian Currency were recovered from his possession, police said. Police has registered a case in this regard.
