| Verma conducts surprise raids | | | Early Times report
Reasi, May 12- In order to ascertain the punctuality in government institutions located in rural areas, the District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Sanjeev Verma today conducted surprise inspection of government institutions in Seer Sundwan area about 30 kms from Reasi by covering 5 to 6 kms on foot journey. During the visit, he found Sub Center of health department, Anganwari center of ICDS, Primary School Kansar and Pumping station of PHE department closed.
Taking a serious note of the closure of the offices, the DDC asked the Chief Medical Officer, District Social Welfare Officer and Zonal Education Officer concerned for conducting immediate enquiry into the matter and submit a detailed report at the earliest for taking stern action against the absent employees.
The locals complained to the DDC that Anganwari Centre Seer Sundwan is opened only once or twice in a month. The DDC directed the DSWO Reasi to investigate in the matter and submit detailed report on nutritious diet being provided at the Anganwadi Centre.
The general public of Kansar area complained that the Primary School Kansar is closed for the last 12 days and no alternate arrangement has been made in place of a female teacher who is on a maternity leave. The Zonal Education Officer was directed to make necessary arrangements in the school so that the students do not suffer.
