| Moungri mela arrangements reviewed | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, May 12- Arrangements for the three-day annual fair at Shiva Parvati cave shrine starting from May 14 at Sar Dabber (Moungri), Panchari in Udhampur district were discussed at a meeting of district officers chaired by the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ajay Khajuria, here today. Sar Dabber in Moungri, a scenic spot surrounded by lofty hills, chir trees, greenery all around, is situated at a distance of about 50 kms from Udhampur district headquarter on Udhampur- Bhamag road. The meeting discussed the arrangements of security, transport, drinking water, power supply, first-aid, sanitation, checking of rates and quality of eatables etc. To avoid any untoward incident, the District Police has been asked to beef up security during the mela days while Executive Engineer, PHE has been asked to deploy water tanker at the mela site. Similarly the Executive Engineer, PDD was asked to provide uninterrupted power supply during mela days. First-aid facilities with adequate medicine, staff and mobile van would be ensured by the Health Department. J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association would arrange wrestling match at mela site on May 16 where prominent wrestlers from different parts of the State and even from outside would take part. ARTO was asked to arrange adequate number of buses from Udhampur to mela site for the convenience of the devotees.
