Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 organise at Government Higher Secondary School Jindrah

Jammu, Oct 13: In a remarkable step towards fostering innovation and creativity among school students, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Jindrah successfully organised the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 — a nationwide school innovation initiative under the Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education, Government of India, in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog.
The event was conducted under the overall supervision of Shri Kasturi Lal, Principal and Cluster Head, HSS Jindrah, and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 14 teams from the cluster schools. The participating institutions included GHSS Jindrah, GHS Batyari, PM Shri MS Jindrah, GMS Sahnoo, GMS Korga, and MS Nagola.
The themes for this year’s Buildathon revolved around nation-building and self-reliance —Atmanirbhar Bharat,
Swadeshi,Vocal for Local and Samriddh Bharat.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests and members of the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC), including Sh. Ranjeet Singh (Retd. Headmaster), Sh. Pritam Singh (Ex Sarpanch), Sh. Som Dutt, Sh. Chandermouli Sharma, Sh. Sudesh Kumar Verma, Sh. Kishori Lal Sharma (Ex Sarpanch), Sh. Baldev Singh, and Sh. Goverdhan Singh. Their presence inspired students and added value to the event through their words of encouragement and appreciation for the budding innovators.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Sh. Kasturi Lal highlighted the significance of the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025, calling it “a nationwide innovation movement that encourages students to become solution-oriented thinkers and builders for a self-reliant India.” He further elaborated that this initiative—India’s largest-ever school hackathon—engages over 1 crore students from classes 6 to 12 in ideating and building prototypes on key themes that align with the vision of a developed and self-sustained nation.
He added, “The Buildathon aims to strengthen the culture of innovation at the school level by nurturing creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork among young minds. It empowers them to become active contributors in achieving the dream of a Viksit Bharat — a prosperous, self-reliant, and innovative India.”
The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 was conducted as part of a nationwide synchronized live event, streamed across all participating schools in India. The live sessions connected students from every corner of the country, sharing their innovative ideas and prototypes aligned with the four key themes.
The students of GHSS Jindrah and its cluster schools showcased remarkable enthusiasm and creativity through their innovative models, reflecting their understanding of sustainable local development, entrepreneurship, and indigenous innovation.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the event coordinators, expressing gratitude to the Department of School Education, the Ministry of Education, and the Atal Innovation Mission for creating such a meaningful platform for young innovators.
The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 at GHSS Jindrah stood out as a celebration of innovation, teamwork, and national pride — a true reflection of the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Samriddh Bharat.
