UDHAMPUR, Oct 13: Udhampur Police, continuing its strong drive against drug-related crimes, have booked a notorious drug peddler namely Koushal Sharma @ Biru S/o Kaka Ram R/o Kambal Danga, Rehambal, Tehsil and District Udhampur, under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act, after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. This is the 12th drug peddler detained by Udhampur Police in the current year. The accused has been repeatedly involved in drug peddling and was actively promoting drug abuse among local youth posing a serious threat to public safety and health.
The detention order was executed today by the Police team of PS Rehambal and the accused has been lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail, District Jammu. |
