Jammu, May 12- For the smooth conduct of 6-Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency elections counting on May 16, 2009, Returning Officer, Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari (Deputy Commissioner, Jammu) today visited Government MAM College, Jammu and Government Polytechnic College, Jammu to inspect on the spot arrangements made by various departments.
SSP Traffic, Jammu, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jammu, Health Officer, JMC, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE and PDD accompanied the Returning Officer, Jammu.
Inspecting the arrangements, Dr. Bhandari asked the R&B, PHE, Security and PDD authorities to provide all facilities like drinking water, electricity, sitting, etc to counting staff members as well as other related line departments on May 16, 2009 in both the premises. He asked the Health officer JMC to park mobile toilet van besides water tankers in the premises of Government MAM College, Jammu for the convenience of staff members.
He asked the Information Department authorities to set up Media Centre at Government MAM College, Jammu, the infrastructure for which shall be arranged by the R&B authorities. For providing time to time counting trends, he said that LCD projector with Internet facility will also be installed for showing the results on screen.
