| Sadhotra urges Govt. to frustrate attempts of land encroachers | | | Early Times report
Jammu May 12-Welcoming the decision of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for instituting enquiry by the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu into the unfortunate incident at Karnale Chack, the National Conference leader, former Minister and Member Legislative Council Ajay Sadhotra has expressed confidence that government shall frustrate every attempt of the land encroachers. He appealed to the people of the area to cooperate with the government in order to strengthen peace and communal harmony.
He also strongly condemned the action of the miscreants who attempted to encroach upon the nursery land, created nuisance and disturbed the atmosphere.
Sadhotra visited the victims at Karnale Chack and condemned the incident. He expressed sympathies with the victims and demanded that all the victims be given Rs. 35,000 each on the pattern of IAY, so that they can raise their structures as they were living here since last more than six years.
He has also demanded supply of free fodder to the affected families to save their livestock from starvation.
Sadhotra also visited GMC and enquired about the health of the Police personnel injured in the incident and also visited SP South Mubassar Latefi, who was also injured in the incident. Subash Sharma, Block President, Rehabber Singh and Kuldeep Sharma also accompanied him.
