Jammu, Oct 15: Pinegrove School, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, celebrated its 34th Annual Function from the 15th to the 17th of October 2025 across its twin campuses at Dharampur and Subathu. True to its enduring legacy of excellence, Pinegrove transformed the occasion into a vibrant festival of art, culture, and talent. After weeks of meticulous preparation, the Grovians showcased a spectacular display of creativity, discipline, and spirit. The celebrations commenced with Day 1 at Dharampur on 15th October, featuring grand cultural presentations at two magnificent venues—‘The Colosseum’ in the morning and ‘The Sant Stadium’ in the evening. Adding to the festive ambience were the Photography, Robotics, Work Experience, and Art Exhibitions, which drew much appreciation. The morning festivities at The Colosseum opened with a soul-stirring performance by the Symphony Orchestra, which transported the audience through a musical odyssey featuring Exodus, Final Countdown, and Bella Ciao. The Western Music Choir followed with their delightful renditions of Hakuna Matata and Imagine, celebrating joy and unity through music. The School Play, SAMAY 2.0 , presented a powerful message on choosing righteousness over temptation. The Dance Drama on Prahlada enthralled the audience with its spiritual and emotional depth, while the Annual Report 2025, presented by the Junior Wing, highlighted the school’s remarkable achievements. As dusk fell, The Sant Stadium transformed into a dazzling arena for the Star-lit Cultural Bonanza. The lively rhythms of the Rock Band and the majestic tunes of the Boys’ Brass Band and Girls’ Pipe Band set an electrifying tone. The bucket drumming performance drew thunderous applause, and the gymnastic and yoga ensembles, presented with poise and precision, symbolized strength, balance, and grace. The Indian Music vocalists mesmerized the gathering with Raag Yaman, followed by an enthralling Tabla Jugalbandi in Drut Teentaal. The evening concluded with the vibrant Gondhal dance, a traditional ritual invoking energy, positivity, and celebration. The momentous occasion was graced by the Hon’ble Education Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Rohit Thakur, as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour, Lieutenant General Vineet Gaur, PVSM, AVSM, a distinguished officer of the Indian Army, and Shri Vinod Sultanpuri, Hon’ble Member of the Legislative Assembly, Himachal Pradesh, added further prestige to the event. The spirited performances of exchange students from Sallie B. Howard School—Arleny Figueroa, Empress Coleman, Khy’Leah Muhammad, and Brandon Pacheco Cruztitla— under the Cultural Bridges 2025 programme celebrated the essence of global friendship and cultural unity. The presence of Mr. Sandeep Aggarwal, Assistant Director and Dean of Business & Technology at Sallie B. Howard School, North Carolina, USA, along with his team of 5 teachers truly elevated the occasion, marking a proud moment in the Pinegrove–Sallie B. Howard exchange collaboration. With an illustrious guest list, delighted parents, and students performing with unmatched zeal, Day One of Pinegrove’s Annual Function 2025 stood as a resounding celebration of learning, creativity, and the Grovian spirit—leaving the audience eagerly awaiting the magic of Day Two. |
